Friends of Wicomico Public Libraries is a member-supported group of library advocates and fundraisers. Every dollar raised from memberships, book sales, and fundraising events goes directly into the library system supporting programs and services. Register for a membership today and know that those funds will soon be a Summer Reading kit for a kid, a software license for an adult literacy learner, a new 3D printer for STEM programming, or a comfortable chair for patrons in a library branch. And demonstrate to our elected officials and other community leaders the robust, continuing base of support our library system thrives upon.

Check out the Fall 2022 Friends newsletter for an update on our activities and members, including:

  • Expanded bookstore hours and increased sales
  • The announcement of the return of our Light of Literacy awards ceremony and fundraiser in 2023
  • A spotlight on one of our members, Mark Rudnick
  • A report on our Flash Sidewalk Book Sale as part of the National Folk Festival, which brought in almost $2,000 in sales
